    AveXis, Inc., a Novartis Company, is a clinical-stage gene therapy company, dedicated to developing and commercializing novel treatments for patients suffering from rare and life-threatening neurological genetic diseases. Our initial product candidate, AVXS-101, is our proprietary gene therapy product candidate currently in development for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy, or SMA, Type 1, the leading genetic cause of infant mortality, and for the treatment of SMA Type 2. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, has granted AVXS-101 Orphan Drug Designation for the treatment of all types of SMA and Breakthrough Therapy Designation, as well as Fast Track Designation for the treatment of SMA Type 1. In addition to developing AVXS-101 to treat SMA Type 1 and Type 2, we also plan to develop other novel treatments for rare neurological diseases, including Rett syndrome (RTT) and a genetic form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) caused by mutations in the superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1) gene.

     

    AveXis is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain Systems – ERP Master Data that will be responsible for maintaining and supporting all AveXis supply chain related ERP master data objects and systems. Duties to include master data creation and maintenance, data alignment and analysis, and policy, procedure and work instruction authoring. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for ERP system troubleshooting, super user support, requirements gathering, master data business process design and solution formal testing. The Manager will collaborate with IT and Quality Systems to implement any enhancements, own and manage the business data migration strategy for ERP system implementations. The Manager will also be responsible for identifying, maintaining and enforcing AveXis global master data standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the necessary resources and workload within the Supply Chain Systems, Master Data team. Uphold and instill the team’s mission to deliver accurate SCM relevant master data in advance of business timeline requirements.
    • Lead human capital by displaying strong management skills and motivating the team. Support any indirect accountabilities as a member of the AveXis Supply Chain Management organization.
    • Responsible for recruitment of Supply Chain Systems – Master Data staff while ensuring budgetary consideration and balancing business requirements.
    • Ensure smooth operations throughout product lifecycle by serving as center of expertise for maintaining AveXis ERP – SCM Master Data attributes according to defined local and global standards.
    • Audits ERP master data changes and data alignment to ensure compliance with defined AveXis standards.
    • Develops feedback monitoring (RTFT – KPI reporting) processes to ensure that internal customer SCM system and master data requirements are delivered on or ahead of time.
    • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements (including records management) and spearheads continuous improvements for quality financial flow processes.
    • Drive continuous improvement of AveXis business systems through organizational and business process improvement projects. Work closely with ERP system end user community to identify system and data requirements.
    • Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) for requested changes within the AveXis Change Management and Integration Process.
    • Participates on ERP deployments, upgrades, and implementations of added functionality.
    • Documents issues into helpdesk ticketing system. Collaborate with business and IT team to trouble-shoot issues and define solutions.
    • Creates work instructions to document system use best practices. Trains users on new functionality.
    • Creates custom reports and browses based on business requirements.
    • Maintains ERP Process Maps based on current business processes.
    • Utilizes QAD screen designer to simplify and streamline transactions, and/or implement controls.
    • Influences and follows the AveXis computer systems quality process and standards.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 10+ years of ERP (preferably QAD) experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • 5 years of experience in QAD Enterprise Applications .NET UI.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • GMP experience.
    • Working knowledge of following QAD (or similar ERP) modules: Serialization, Automated Solutions, Channel Islands, Distribution, and Manufacturing.
    • Experience with Progress/SQL query.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
    • Good oral and written skills.

    The level of this position will be based on the final candidate’s qualifications.
