The Marketing Associate, will have primary responsibility for supporting the operational and marketing management of an upcoming product launch.  Projects include managing and leading the promotional review committee, processing approval forms, obtaining supporting documentation, and processing payment requests for Speaker Bureaus, Advisory Boards, Consultant Agreements, and Congress/Society Support. Individual will track multiple projects and work closely with the manager to ensure that required forms are completed and processed in a timely manner. The project manager will liaise with Marketing Managers, Compliance, Contracting and other entities to ensure all pertinent forms, attestations and evaluations are completed and processed in a timely manner. The Marketing Associate will also process and track invoices and payments for certain contracted entities such as consultants for aggregate spend reporting. This role provides tactical support for a broad spectrum of marketing projects and initiatives, as well as general back office, administrative and marketing support.

Responsibilities

  • Working with cross-functional teams and the US sales force to ensure marketing programs and events meet the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Assisting in developing and identifying new work processes to streamline marketing operations
  • Assisting in the development and execution of promotional plans, clinical marketing presentations, tradeshow strategy, peer-to-peer programs, and general sales force support
  • Partnering with Marketing Managers to initiate approval forms for Speaker Bureau, Advisory Boards, and Agreements with consultants or societies 
  • Independently determining and develop approaches to solutions, specifically in upstream marketing
  • Contributing to the development of annual business plans, product positioning and strategies, and marketing program creation
  • Managing and coordinating the work of ad agency, medical education partners and various external vendors including acquiring necessary budget estimates, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
  • Effectively interacting with our sales force to understand their needs and handle requests
  • Interpret and translate scientific clinical data into commercial applications
  • Assisting in establishing and maintaining consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, marketing or business administration or a minimum of 4 years of related experience in a prior role
  • Minimum 2 years of US pharmaceutical product management
  • Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams (internal and external) to drive issues and projects to conclusion
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills required
  • A high interest in working in a “roll up the sleeves” environment of a small bio-pharma company, without the resources of larger companies
  • Requires demonstrated excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Up to 15% of US domestic travel
